A Milestone Three Years In The Making
GoTyme Bank, a joint venture between Singapore-based Tyme Group and Philippine conglomerate Gokongwei Group, announced it had crossed 10 million users as of July 2026. Chief Executive Officer Nate Clarke said the milestone reflects the trust Filipinos place in the bank daily, framing it as part of a broader ambition to become the Philippines’ largest bank by user base. The bank had reported 9 million users as of March 2026, meaning it added roughly 700,000 to 1 million customers within a few months.
Deposits have grown alongside the user base, surpassing PHP 53 billion. GoTyme attributed the growth to expanding use of its mobile app and physical touchpoints, alongside rising adoption of services beyond basic savings accounts, including bill payments, remittances, credit, and wealth management.
Product Expansion Beyond Digital Savings
GoTyme’s debit card was the most-used Visa debit card in the Philippines in 2025, based on Visa’s active usage data. The bank has broadened its product suite considerably: users can now pay more than 160 billers, invest in Philippine stocks and cryptocurrency, and send remittances internationally through an integration with Wise. Its credit arm, MoreTyme, has drawn more than 1 million early-access users for installment payments, purchase conversions, and short-term borrowing through its Get Cash feature.
Physical Network Supporting Digital Growth
Despite operating as a digital-first bank, GoTyme has built out a physical presence to support onboarding and cash transactions. The bank operates more than 600 kiosks inside Robinsons Retail and SM Stores nationwide, staffed by over 1,200 bank ambassadors who help customers open accounts and print debit cards, typically within minutes. Customers can also deposit and withdraw cash through Robinsons Retail checkout lanes and a network of more than 4,500 7-Eleven stores.
Clarke said GoTyme aims to reach close to 12 million customers by the end of 2026, with profitability targeted for 2027 as the bank continues expanding into remittances, investing, and consumer credit.
